Elizabeth M H Newbury is the rare Washington D.C.-native, having grown up in Alexandria, VA and then boomeranged out of state, first for an undergraduate degree in anthropology from Bryn Mawr College and then for a Masters & PhD in Communication at Cornell University. She was the Director of the Serious Games Initiative at the Woodrow Wilson International Center for Scholars until its recent reduction. She researches audiences of technology, with an emphasis on diversity and engagement. Her superpowers include an extensive trivia about dog breeds and the capability to quote old 90’s political dramas.
