We went to Harper’s Ferry on the third year anniversary of our first “away” date for our engagement photos. Mike (knowing Liz’s love of animals) wanted to take her horseback riding and see the historic town. To honor this memory, we went back to Elk Mountain Trails, where the owners were so kind as to let us pose for photos with the exact horses (Sugar and Tag) we rode on that special day. Then, with the all-star photography team of Photos by Kintz , we went down to enjoy some photos in historic Harper’s Ferry.
We took several traditional shots.
Tag is a beautiful horse, a big gentle giant. Mike had a hard time (both then and now) of keeping him from snacking on grass.
Love for all creatures, great and small.
Both Mike and Liz love horses, and we are very grateful that Elk Mountain Trails let us pose with these beautiful trail horses.
Our first step was Elk Mountain Trails, and Sidney was kept away from the horses. He kept a watchful eye on us the whole time, though!
We’re three peas in a pod!
Sidney had no trouble during the shoot as Kolleen, from Photos by Kintz, was armed with a bag of treats. He was very attentive!
A candid moment during the shoot
Our first few photos in Harpers Ferry were right near the downtown, and then we walked to the historic bridge.
Sidney <3's photographers equipped with treats. We had a hard time getting him to sit down because he wanted them so bad!
Next we went to the bridge, and Liz came prepared with some props — including champagne for both the humans and pups! (Or rather, champagne toys)
Mike’s mother is a math teacher, so we know this forumla isn’t right — but in our case, 1+1 does equal 3! Mike met Liz, and Liz came with Sidney.
We decided to “pour” some champagne for Sidney to celebrate. He was excited.
